- Hen House Studios Presents Aya Peard
Fri, 18 May 2007 19:12:32 GMT
Influenced by a wide array of sources, including frequent moves during childhood to places like Louisiana and Korea, Aya Peard has created an unusual emotionally-charged fusion of rock and dreamy spirituality. In 1994, Peard and Phil Kettner founded Phremyl; this podcast is a reflection on a recent reunion and a retrospective not to be missed. - Hen House Studios Presents Boom Shaka

With a bright smile and a warm attitude, the musician known as Baba Alade arrived at The Hen House a few months ago. In one glorious afternoon, we recorded several songs, some long, some short, but all wonderful. Baba Alade was born and raised in Los Angeles. He is a singer/songwriter of the highest order. With a wealth of experience and knowledge, Baba Alade absolutely floored The Hen House with his brilliance and sincerity. He?s been playing his guitar and singing his heart out for so many years that there can be no doubt that he does it for the love of music. His lyrics will resonate in your mind for days. His passionate singing will stir your heart, guaranteed. If you haven?t realized it already, he happens to be my favorite musician thus far at The Hen House. So, it is my pleasure to introduce you to Baba Alade. - Hen House Studios Presents Freelance Johnson

Lead by Crash on guitar and vocals, Freelance Johnson packs a powerful punch. With Roman hitting the drums, they?ll have you on the ropes. Next comes Matt on the bass and you?re sure to end up face down on the canvas. They record songs about their everyday life in California. You?ll hear Crash sing about surfing, partying and chasing women. This trio is a champ. FO-20 is not to be missed because they put on a real show with style and substance. - Hen House Studios Presents Maria Vidal

Maria Vidal is an accomplished singer and a good friend of The Hen House. We were very excited to have her sing on The Hen House Theme Song. Maria has a voice that?ll knock your socks off. Rich and sultry, her voice makes The Hen House Theme Song enjoyable even after hearing it for the thousandth time on our answering machine.
