Microsoft(R) and Intel Chart a Course for 64-Bit Computing. Microsoft and Intel(R) are teaming up to educate customers and partners on new and existing opportunities surrounding both companies broad portfolio of 64-bit technologies. This portfolio of products is expected to help drive broad adoption of 64-bit computing. According to Microsoft and Intel estimates, 2005 will be the year when, for the first time, the vast majority of new server hardware and high-end workstation shipments will be 64-bit capable. Three factors are contributing to this shift. First, Intels entire line-up of server platforms will have 64-bit capabilities. Second, the Windows platform will support two different 64-bit architectures: Explicitly Parallel Instruction Computing (EPIC), supported by Intels Itanium processor family, and 64-bit extensions to the x86 instruction set, supported by Intels 64-bit Xeon and Pentium processors. Third, organizations are increasingly viewing these platforms as a cost-effective alternative to the higher-priced, proprietary 64-bit architecture of RISC-based UNIX servers. ### (Aruntx.com Newswire) - Infinity Broadcasting Podcasts

By appointment of Carol Tullo, Controller, Her Majestys Stationery Office (HMSO), Queens Printer, United Kingdom, Aruntx Publishing Company has received the prestigious appointment as a HMSO Core Licensee for matters regarding publishing of the Crown and Parlimentary. As Queen's Printer, all legislation, Command Papers and the official Gazettes are published under the authority and superintendence of the Controller. It follows that cases will arise where the copyright in the typographical arrangement of official works will rest with the publisher and the copyright in the content with the Crown. The precise layout and the look and feel of the material is often part of the intrinsic quality that gives it official status, eg making legislation instantly recognisable as such. The European Directive on the re-use of public sector information was approved by the Council of Ministers on 27 October 2003. The Directive was published in the European Journal on 31 December 2003 and must be implemented in the UK and all other member states by 1 July 2005. Patience and Fortitude had a little work done. The restored and cleaned lions guarding The New York Public Librarys flagship building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street were unveiled December 09, 2004 in front of a crowd of onlookers. Pulling off the protective tarps were Library President Dr. Paul LeClerc; Robert Bates, lead architect on the project, of Walter B. Melvin Architects, LLC; and David S. Ferriero, Andrew W. Mellon Director and Chief Executive of the Research Libraries. The lions emerged looking bright and clean. Since November 8, 2004 the world-famous lion sculptures that flank the Fifth Avenue entrance to The New York Public Library had been out of the public eye behind scaffolded enclosures while they underwent restorative care by a highly regarded team of conservation specialists. The conservation of the lions is the Librarys first step toward reaching its goal of a complete restoration of the exterior of the landmark building at Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street in time for its centennial in 2011. The entire facade is currently being examined and stabilized in preparation for that multi-year project, which will leave the Library in pristine condition for future generations. Valentine, a journalist with multiple Masters Degrees, author of four popular titles, believes "that marriage is all about money. She is currently shopping for a new husband. Valentine, climbing the Moscow military revolt barricades in desperate need of a restroom, loosing her water bottle during a conflict with one of her husbands on the Israeli-Lebanon border, and acting as her own lawyer, was looking for a good man to solve all her problems and balance her out. Naturally, she found herself divorced, with a child, living in a garage shared with a skunk and a wild one-eye cat. She started to write mysteries nightly, using a laptop secured on a toilet seat, while her child slept behind the closed door. Dr. Carlton A. Payne recently published Neophyte, a book on the realities of juveniles in the criminal justice system. This subject has mostly been overlooked. A neophyte is a novice, a greenhorn, someone still wet behind the ears. The book follows a unique realistic path of a newly hired employee through a juvenile detention center. The book is funny at times, sad at others. It sometimes creates anger and is sometimes shocking. The stories reach beyond the realm of an institution and into the nature of the human condition. It showcases people as deserving individuals as well as revealing their psychological weaknesses. With just enough seasoning Neophyte is a definite treat for any reader. The book is available at Luguorious Book Store 2385 W. Cheltenham Ave. Phila. PA. 19150; in the Cheltenham mall, at Hakims bookstore at 52nd and Chestnut, or at Google by typing in Carlton Payne. (Aruntx.com Newswire) - Gut-wrenching, dramatic, and true
Clear Margins by Robin Wisch is the true story of his wifes 9-year battle with terminal cancer. More importantly, it depicts the day-to-day struggle of coping with a dying person from a care-givers perspective. Additionally, it portrays the deep inward conflicts and confrontations, which a terminally ill person encounters. During the years, the author kept a diary of events and conversations. Clear Margins gives a very emotional and gut-wrenching picture of a battle lost. It is a page-turner that draws the reader right into the time period of 1976-1985. The book is available at Infinitypublishing.com or Amazon.com. (Aruntx.com Newswire) - Acts and Facts

The Many Journeys of Successful American Businesswomen By Thomas J. Stanley. Thomas Stanley, the author of 1990s bestsellers "The Millionaire Next Door" and "Marketing to the Affluent," is at it again with a book that focuses on wealthy women. His research shows you are not likely to find them on Miami South Beach or in the trendy shops of Wayzata and Edina. Why? Because they are frugal. Here's Stanley's portrait of the self-employed millionaire businesswoman: 49 years old; rises at 5:58 a.m., retires at 10:32 p.m.; works 49 hours a week; exercises 3.5 hours a week; annual taxable household income is 240,217 dollars; net worth of 2.9 million; nearly one in five are divorced; of those who are married, about half have been divorced at least once; they are likely to make more and larger charitable donations than wealthy men. "People have a natural curiosity," the author says. "What I like is dispelling the myths of how people live when they've produced a great deal of wealth. ... It's been great." (Aruntx.com Newswire) - Eight Tips Gift Giving At Work
Now is the time to start planning your holiday shopping list. Not just for mom, sis and Aunt Suzie, but for all of those work-related contacts who have helped you throughout the year. Ultimately you want to thank the people who have helped advance your career by sending an appropriate gift that expresses your gratitude and makes a lasting impression. Here are some tips to help you make your holiday shopping a cinch. Making a List. The first task is to consider who should be included on your gift list. From clients and colleagues to support staff and bosses, you may want to consider an A and B list. The As are the people to whom you absolutely, positively must give a gift in fact, they pretty much expect it. These are your top clients, your administrative assistant and anyone who has played a big role in making you look good. Those on your B-list are runners-up for a token of your appreciation, should you be lucky enough to all your fortune on the A-list. "No Gifts Please". Before sending gifts to people outside your company, make sure their firm allows employees to receive gifts. These days many companies have implemented very restrictive gift policies some set dollar value maximums, others outright prohibit gifts. To avoid an uncomfortable situation for you and the recipient, call the company HR office to inquire if such a policy exists. Practically Perfect. Choosing the perfect gift for a business contact is sometimes harder than picking the perfect tie for dad. Whether you choose the latest gadget or a classic desk accessory, it is important to choose a gift with the recipient in mind. Classic office items like portfolios, clocks and picture frames are always a safe bet. Fine small leather goods will also make a positive impression. Always ask yourself "Would I use or appreciate the gift?" before making your final selection. Because of varying religious and personal beliefs, gifts should be somewhat holiday-generic; Steer clear of items that have any type of religious or holiday theme. Get Personal. One of the newest trends in corporate gift-giving is personalizing items with the recipients name or initials. This year everybody seems to want to personalize items with initials and names instead of company logos. Laser-engraved wood picture frames and clocks with a persons name make really beautiful and memorable gifts. Food for Thought. You can never go wrong with food items for individual or group gifts. Dessert items are always really big. Erase the visions of carb-counting office staff throwing away gifts of cookies and cakes. Concerns about fat and carbs go right out the door during the holidays. People love giving and receiving tasty treats like Downeys Cakes and Godiva chocolates. Quality Counts. Closeouts and clearance sales can be tempting, but beware of dead batteries, cheap construction and spoiled goods. If you want to make a lasting impression, make sure it is a positive one. Whatever you give, invest in high-quality, brand name items and be sure to buy from reputable firms that offer product guarantees. Shop Early. Companies and individuals are starting earlier this year. Many want their items to be delivered prior to Thanksgiving. That increases the chance that their gift will be remembered, rather than lost in the sea of cards and items received in December. Be Noteworthy. The best way to make an impression is to send a personal note or message with the gift. "Seasons Greetings from Acme" is way too generic. So are business cards tucked inside a gift; Include a personalized message with every gift. Tailoring a message of thanks that is personal and heartfelt goes a long way in building long-term relationships. Handwritten notes on stationery or holiday cards signed by you and or your team are also meaningful. He is one of Americas hottest selling phenomena, the divine inspiration behind a multi billion dollar business trend and darling of the entertainment industry. Spawning storylines more mysterious than Harry Potters, more thrilling than Frederick Forsyths and proving more successful than any other subject matter, he has become every booksellers dream, and many a book buyers curiosity. His name is God. And, driven by fear, faith and fascination, the public have made him the new literary vogue. In 2003 the appetite for faith based literature increased by 50%, according to the American Association of Publishers, giving religion the third biggest share of the book market, after popular fiction and cookery. "God sells, no doubt about that," said Lynn Garrett, religion editor at Publishers Weekly magazine. "It is quite amazing when you consider that many of the trade houses, who perhaps 15 years ago did not want much to do with religion, have now started their own marketing departments specifically for it. And, just when you think public interest might die down, along comes another wave." So mighty are those waves that annual sales of Christian publications and merchandise now top over four billion a year, up from one billion in 1980. The bonanza is not restricted to specialist shops; around a quarter of those sales are made by mainstream retailers such as Wal Mart and Barnes and Noble. The range of titles is diverse, covering everything from the Veggie Tales cartoons, in which Bob the Tomato narrates the story of a character called Snoodle Doo, who embarks on various Christian themed lessons in self worth, to an analysis of President George W Bushs spiritual leanings. On the culinary front, the What Would Jesus Eat cookbook, by Don Colbert, a Florida doctor, looks to the Bible for healthy eating tips. Based on Christs own snacking preferences, fish is in, ham is out. But consistently topping the bestseller lists, representing arguably the biggest religious publishing phenomenon since the Bible itself, are the Left Behind books of Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins, a series of 12 apocalyptic novels chronicling the Earths last days. Since the launch of its first instalment in 1995, the series has been translated into 34 languages and has sold an extraordinary 62 million copies worldwide (including ten million of the childrens version), reportedly earning the authors more than 50 million apiece.
