- Franz Liszt: Nuages Gris (1881)

Nuages Gris (Grey Clouds) is a piano solo composed by Franz Liszt in 1881. The harmonies are based on intervals of fourths including augmented triads which gives the piece an uneasy, unsettling atmopshere. These harmonies are quite different from those in his earlier works. Nuages Gris is featured in the soundtrack to Eyes Wide Shut, Stanley Kubrick's last film. - Zoltan Kodaly: Szekely Lament

A chance to hear a rarely heard piano piece by Zoltan Kodaly. - G. Grovlez: Petites Litanies de Jesus

This charming and contemplative piece by Gabriel Grovelz deserves to be much more well known and widely performed. This piece is prefaced with a poem by the French poet Tristan Klingsor.
