- WordPress 2.3.1 And A Long Over-due Theme Upgrade
Mon, 19 Nov 2007 07:25:38 +0000Hey All,
I just thought I’d do a quick update on what’s been going on around here. I haven’t put any new shows out because I’ve been sick with a throat infection (kind of makes it hard to record anything when you can barely talk), however, I do believe I’m on the tail end of it, so you can expect a show to be put out Monday evening (November 20th, 2007) or Tuesday evening (the 21st) at the latest.
I’ve also done a very long over-due upgrade of WordPress to the latest available non-beta version, which is version 2.3.1. With it comes another very long over-due update to the podcast RSS feed to include iTunes support and a few other things, AND, now that I’m monkeying with the code and doing a lot of spring cleaning and site clean-up, I figured I might as well start on a new template and branding artwork.
So, for those of you who do more than just visit the RSS feed and pay attention to that sort of thing, you might have noticed the new version of WP yesterday or the day before. With this post the new RSS 2.0 feed is in full effect, and I’ve got a pretty good start on the new template/site look-and-feel. It’s all still a work in progress, but it’s made it far enough along that I’ve made it live on the site.
So, with all that said, please swing by the site and take a look and shoot me feed-back at linux at quicksurf.com. Criticism, Complaints, Error Reporting, Comments, and anything else that might have to be said to me should also go to the same email address. I might not respond to all of it, but I do read every single email that is sent to me.
Thanks for sticking around and I hope to really get things taking off in the near future.
