    Calorie-free Stress Relief
    Fri, 24 Mar 2006 02:07:00 EST
Deadlines loom large and fast at the office. All through the cacophonous day, anxious feet pound the carpeted floor, mobiles and office phones screech for attention, people literally shriek down the lines at lawyers, accountants, auditors, consultants and other professed professionals and the air smells of overworked photocopiers, stale coffee, white-collared sweat and stomachs that haven't seen substantial hot food since the packed dinner last night.

Fortunately, neither file-throwing nor backstabbing is the preferred method of stress relief in these parts. My colleagues prefer to internalise it with snacks.
    Tim Tam Collage
They started off slow with polite Aussie-made Tim Tam nibbles, culled from a field trip to Candy Empire at Millenia Walk (Millenia Walk, 9 Raffles Boulevard, #01-95 to 98, Singapore 039596; tel: 6336 2968, to be precise, for Cupboard Space who is probably hyperventilating and who should come out of the closet).

They even took some time out from threatening not to pay professed professionals for their suspiciously shoddy work to Tim Tam Slam (also variously called the "Tim Tam Suck", "Tim Tam Explosion", "Tim Tam Orgasm" and "shotgunning a Tim Tam", basically describing the biting off of opposing corners of a Tim Tam, using it as one would a straw to suck up a hot beverage and then, popping it into the mouth before the biscuit disintegrates. Natalie Imbruglia demonstrates it on Graham Norton's eponymous "So Graham Norton".) with hot cups of Aussie-manufactured Milo.

Later on, they moved on to Cheezels, Jaffa Cakes, Wagon Wheels and Penguins.
    Snacks Collage
And still later, faced with the implications of the law of diminishing returns, they contributed generously to this keropok uncle's retirement fund:
    Keropok Van
God, of course, gave us a vastly cheaper, healthier, calorie-free way of dealing with stress:
do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
But this sort of thing only works if we believe there is a God who:
    • has the ability and is willing to listen us and to whom we can communicate;
    • has the ability and is willing to calm our worries and fears; and
    • most importantly, because it is just plain silly to be psyched into thinking happy thoughts about a situation that should in reality be worrisome, has the ability and is willing to act in the world to control it and because he loves us as his own children, order it for our good (good not meaning our preferred outcome but our eternal salvation and godliness).

    SpaceX Successful Static Fire

Alabama?s Race for Governor from the 50 Yard Line
    Thu, 23 Mar 2006 10:59:11 EST

Of all the gubernatoral elections to be held this upcoming November, perhaps Alabama happens to have the most colorful contest. Even The New York Times ran this headline yesterday: “In Race to Lead Alabama, It’s Politics as Unusual”. The following key contenders showed at the starting gate:

  • Former Governor “the Don” Siegelman, currently under indictment for what may be politically based charges, seeks the Democratic nod. Despite a trial date of May 1, the criminal allegations may not impact the Don at the ballot box, as indictments and gubernatoral politics go hand in hand in the Heart of Dixie. His key platform item item is the establishment of a state lottery.
  • Incumbent Governor “Billion Dollar Bob” Riley, the Republican who tried to significantly raise taxes in the name of Jesus. Riley is trying to overcome his stinging loss on that bill by taking credit for a budget surplus which he predicted would be a deficit — the very basis for his call for the largest tax increase in state history. Riley has Abramoff problems, but seems to have the state GOP Chairman, Twinkle Andress Cavanaugh, on his side. Twinkle once opposed the Riley tax plan, then changed sides as she went to work for the governor as his appointments secretary and then deputy chief of staff. She left the governor’s office to chair the Alabama Republican Party just in time for the big GOP showdown in the state. She’s also under fire for taking special interest money.
  • Libertarian Activist Loretta “No Panties” Nall, a key player in state, national, and international drug war and prison reform issues. Recently in the news because of her boobs and lack of undergarments, Nall is trying to overcome the public perception of being a single issue candidate (she isn’t) and knock down the barrier of egregious ballot access laws.
  • Current Lt. Governor “I Love Lucy” Baxley, a Democrat who ducked the issues by running on a platform of “We [heart symbol] Lucy” last election cycle. She started with the same platform this time, but has been under fire for copping out on the issues. It seems she may be trying to bury this reputation along with this website banner.
  • Former Judge Roy “Ten Commandments” Moore, who just squashed rumors of an independent or third-party bid and will run against Riley for the GOP nod. Moore is running in opposition to the former Riley tax increase plan (as opposed to the tax decrease plan Riley recently proposed — coincidentally while running for office, go figure). However, during the 2003 tax increase showdown, Moore remained conspiculously silent on the tax issue, instead focusing his efforts (and needed media attention) on an expensive rock at the state Supreme Court building.
  • I’m not actively working for any of these campaigns, but have contacts in all of them. It’s already been a lot of fun to watch this race from the sidelines, and I expect the last three quarters of the game to become even more exciting.

His monologue is brilliant. Definitely take the time to watch the video - and pass it along. Yay!

Evil: "In a large sense, may be described as the sum of the opposition, which experience shows to exist in the universe, to the desires and needs of individuals; whence arises, among humans beings at least, the sufferings in which life abounds. Thus evil, from the point of view of human welfare, is what ought not to exist."

If you're offended by strong language you might as well stop reading at this point.
    mfi.

"You know some of them are killers!"

Pat Robertson the man who makes money from gambling scams, who uses taxpayer's money so that his private plane can get child-slave produced blood diamonds onto the market. Who calls openly for the murder of democratically elected foreign heads of state and who together with his puke makingly fat bumbuddy the so-called "Reverend Falwell" (the one wants all the Jews back in Israel so that they can be massacred by the anti-Christ as a prelude to Armageddon ) is at it again. Yes the same little fuckwad who founded Regent's "university" using money from war and slavery so that come the day his minions are trained to rule the earth as yes you guessed it, you can't make this shit up, Regents is at it again.

This time his excuse is a book by the right wing extremist "thinker" David Horowitz called ?The Professors: The 101 most dangerous academics in America.?

ROBERTSON: Ladies and gentleman this is a fascinating book. If you want to, you'd better take your blood pressure medicine before you read it, but it's "The Professors: The 101 most dangerous academics in America" and that's just a short murderous little fuck baglist of the 30-40,000 of them, they're like termites that have worked into the woodwork of our academic society and it's appalling. This is available at CBN.com and book stores everywhere, and you really ought to read it and be informed.

TERRI: It?s interesting that so many conservatives haven't seen this because decades ago we were told that infiltrating education was the way to take over the country, we should have been on alert.

ROBERTSON: They gamed it, these guys are out and out communists, they are radicals, you know some of them killers, and they are propagandists of the first order and they don't want anybody else except them. That's why Regent University for example is so terrifically important and why we're setting up an undergraduate program that hopefully will see shortly 10,000 students, and then from there 250,000 because you don't want your child to be brainwashed by these radicals, you just don't want it to happen. Not only brainwashed but beat up, they beat these people up, cower them into submission. Ahhh! "The Professors", read it.

There comes a point at which being polite doesn't work.

So Pat, - Fuck you, fuck the sow that farrowed you, fuck the bitch you mated with, and fuck your pewling thieving brat. That goes for the hate-ridden quasi human sheep who masturbate their entirely justified inferiority complexes in your "church" and who watch your broadcasts. The broadcasts you paid for with those diamonds. You know Pat the diamonds mined by kids the kids who's homes and lives were wrecked by your pal's machete wielding rapist thugs:

"I was in the northeastern part of the Congo, which is right on Lake Albert. It's the part of the Democratic Republic of Congo that borders Uganda and is extremely rich in mineral resources like diamonds, gold, and cobalt. MSF responded to two major emergencies during my time in the field. In February, thousands of people began to flee the fighting between warring factions. Most of our patients came from the two major camps in Ituri, Tche and Kakwa, where people have sought refuge from the recent outbreak of violence. During the month I spent in Bunia, Tche grew from 2,000 to 10,000 people. And Kakwa expanded to around 7,000 people from 1,000.

    [snip]

What really got to me were the attacks on children. I see plenty of injuries in my work as a surgeon in New York. I deal with gunshot and stab wounds all the time. And I saw machete wounds in Burundi, but the number of children being affected by the violence in Ituri is incredible. My last day in Bunia, I took care of four children: two 15 year olds?one of whom was a girl who had been raped?as well as a six-year-old, and a seven-year-old. When I first saw them with their bandages on I thought they probably had superficial machete wounds, but once I examined them closer I realized that someone had actually attempted to decapitate these kids."

    Television Congressional Democrats Should Watch
    Wed, 22 Mar 2006 14:13:00 EST
By their own admission, the fine folks at BuzzFlash ??never thought we would be giving the BuzzFlash "Wings of Justice Award" to the people associated with a weekly TV program.? But, as they also say, ?we were wrong.?

If you have time for nothing else today, please watch this clip from the show ?Boston Legal? in which the lawyer played by James Spader gives a riveting closing argument in defense of a young woman protesting our government by refusing to pay taxes. It's one of the most stirring pieces of television I?ve ever seen.

    An excerpt:
When the weapons of mass destruction thing turned out to be not true, I expected the American people to rise up. Ha! They didn't.

Then, when the Abu Ghraib torture thing surfaced and it was revealed that our government participated in rendition, a practice where we kidnap people and turn them over to regimes who specialize in torture, I was sure then the American people would be heard from. We stood mute.

Then came the news that we jailed thousands of so-called terrorists suspects, locked them up without the right to a trial or even the right to confront their accusers. Certainly, we would never stand for that. We did.

And now, it's been discovered the executive branch has been conducting massive, illegal, domestic surveillance on its own citizens. You and me. And I at least consoled myself that finally, finally the American people will have had enough. Evidentially, we haven't.
You can read the transcript here but you really should watch the video clip.

You?ll be glad you did and, like me, you?ll wonder what the hell would be so hard about some of our representatives in Washington expressing the same sentiments.

As I wrote previously, I was very sick all weekend, but tried to have fun anyway in Munich. We arrived on Friday afternoon, but since the car ride had been hell for me, I decided to stay at the hotel (which was real nice) while the boys went on their beer crusade. Heh, I don't like beer anyway... at the time, I couldn't swallow anything either. I thought I was going to die there. Fortunatly, our room had an awesome bathroom with tub and a warm bath brought me back to life, a bit. After a couple of hours, the boys came back and we went for dinner, but got lost and ended up in a not very good restaurant. I ate some of bites from my plate, felt very sick again and it was time to go to bed for me.

On Saturday, I felt a tiny bit better and we went walking downtown, looking at shops and buildings. We ate at the Kartoffelnhaus and it was delicious like last time (although I couldn't enjoy it as much). It was a nice sunny day and I took a lot of pictures of the old state house. ;) We left *H.* with a friend of his and went back to the hotel to rest before dinner... and then it was SUSHI TIME!!! :D Oh my god it was good and I believe it helped healing me. :) We went to Odai, a very nice place and the sushi was awesome. We were almost alone in the restaurant... I hope they get more customers on other nights, because they deserve it.

After dinner, we got ready to go out at the Neurodrome. It was their 3rd anniversary, so it was totally packed and ahem... way too goth for us! I can't dance with European goths, they... all do the same thing! I mess up all their repetitive patterns and they hate me. They even did some sort of goth square dancing!!!! AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!! I'm sorry but that was one of the saddest things I got to see in my life. WTF. When we saw that it was lasting more than one song, we were about ready to leave, but they stopped after two songs. WTF people! We were getting really bored when [info]shirt_seeker and his girlfriend found us. They're awesome and I'm glad we went there just so we could meet them! The night got more fun and the music also got better, so we danced a bit, finally! We left kind of early because both *A.* and I didn't feel so good, but hey, the doorman was giving roses, so it's all good! :D

See the ambiance at the beer house (Hofbräuhaus), I don't even wanna think how it must be in October!
    Movie: So many people!

Yes, we visited some churches too! That's the Theatinerkirche.

Are they thinking about god or the next beer they'll drink?

There were those painted lions all over town, it was quite cool.

You can see what I call the phallic church of Munich in the background. ;)

    The Kartoffelnhaus! :D

I often said that French people are worse than Americans in many ways when travelling... well here's a proof: *H.* absolutly wanted his picture taken in front of the Hard Rock Café! Tsss!

    At the beer house...

    The band.

Those old people are in better shape than I am, must be all the beer and dancing!

    Ahhhh, the New Town Hall!

There was a protestation against war.

Me, having fun with a store window.

I wanted to take a picture of the lion and then those stupid people came and wouldn't leave... they sucked.

Guys dreamed about a beer fountain.

*H.* hugging the beer lion. ;)

The church Heilig Geist... it's beautiful!

    More of the State House.

    Me... very sick...

*H.* is trying to make me feel better.

The Japanese restaurant Odai... it was very pretty!

'Without A Trace's' Teen Orgy Scene: The Totally Hot Full-Text Version
    Wed, 22 Mar 2006 11:55:34 EST

WAT-orgy.jpgPredictably, the clip of Without A Trace's $3.6 million teen sex orgy of teenage sex-type shenanigans was quickly yanked from YouTube due to "copyright infringement" (read: CBS lawyers) shortly after we posted about it. But as several readers reminded us, a clip of the scene is still available on the Parents Television Council website, who really go the extra, crazy mile by also offering this shockingly detailed blow-by-blow of the offending footage. Enjoy the hott, full-text, teen-on-teen-on-teen action, courtesy of one of your favorite watchdog groups!

[WARNING: The following content summary is explicit and will be EXTREMELY offensive to many. ]

A high school sex scandal leads to murder. During the course of the investigation, investigators question the victim’s friend, Amber. The investigators tell Amber that Jen was raped. Amber is surprised, and explains that there was a party the day of the rape. As she describes the party, flashback scenes are shown depicting teenaged boys and girls participating in what can only be described as an orgy, including:

    - A teenaged girl wearing just a bra and panties is sitting astride the lap of a teenaged boy kissing him while another girl in just a bra and panties fondles them both. The first girl is also shown making sexual bump and grind motions.

    - Two other teenaged girls are sitting on either side of a teenaged boy, fondling him while another group of teens smoking pot and drinking beer watch them from the sofa on the other side of the room.

    - A shirtless teenaged boy starts to remove his pants

    - A teenaged girl with her back to the camera appears to be wearing nothing but panties. She appears to be sitting astride a teenaged boy kissing him while another girl in just a bra and panties fondles them both.

    - There is a quick shot of a pile of naked flesh, mostly arms and legs, though obviously belonging to multiple teens.

    - A young man without a shirt on has his head in the area of a girl’s (apparently) bare breasts, next to them on the couch another girl who appears to be wearing just her panties (her breasts are visible in profile) is fondling a boy who is kissing another girl.

    - A teenaged boy takes turns kissing two girls in their underwear.

    - A girl is sitting astride the lap of a teenaged boy. Both are just in their underwear. They are rocking back and forth in a sexual motion.

    - In another room, a girl is sitting on the floor surrounded by several boys. One of her friends yells, “She’s a porn star!” The girl on the floor is wearing a bra and panties. One boy kisses her chest and fondles her, while another rubs his leg on the inside of her thigh, and a third pours liquor down her throat straight from the bottle then starts kissing her on the face.
