- Henry Morgan and The High Grass Boys_Live at Stony Creek 05-26-05
Thu, 26 May 2005 09:00:00 GMT
Henry Morgan and The High Grass Boys, the veteran folk-rockers and arguably the millennium's top indie folk-rock band performed a free, live concert over the Internet from Stony Creek, Pennsylvania. It was the first in a proposed series of live concert events by the group, now a foursome, including Frank Cotolo, Larry Michelich, Kevin Proctor and John Amato. They have been likened to Bob Dylan and his band, for their folk-rock approach, and to legendary protest singer Joe Hill "if he had ever gone electric." Now they embark on a unique project that is a radical career move. The radical group has already broken rules of conventional marketing by giving away its debut CD, "Glory Bound." A few free concerts on the East Coast followed and a cult following developed. Now, using the Internet as a theater to reach anyone anywhere in the world who wants to tune in, the virtual audience will be coming from all over the globe. The group's second CD, "Hunting" is for sale at CD Baby, but free material is still the driving force of the only music combo to embrace the Information Highway audience without both hands out and open. - Henry Morgan and The High Grass Boys_Live at Juddah's Juke Joint 07-08-06
