Obama Return From His Tour De Force Trip With McCain's Jail House Bitch Like Response
    Mon, 28 Jul 2008 10:03:37 GMT
It would have been nice to end our last podcast and posting for the summer on a high note, but as fate would have it we are compelled to report the facts as we see them. Barack Obama?s triumphant return the to States after his tour de force trip overseas was met with mild criticisms from the press for maintaining limited press access and hard hitting below the belt gibes for his failure to visit the wounded troops while in Germany being leveled at him from John McCain. Like a jail house bitch, McCain continue his rant this weekend challenging Barack Obama?s patriotism by overstating his objections to Obama not making the troop visit a priority while in Germany . We?re not sure if it was more disgusting or pathetic to watch a man who has billed himself as a straight talker, a maverick and former war hero to engage in the deceptive tactic of creating and inflating an issue to rain on a better man?s parade.

RetroVision Media Gives Barack Obama's World Get To Know Me Tour A Rave Review
    Thu, 24 Jul 2008 09:29:56 GMT
Well the early assessments of Barack Obama?s ?World Get to Know Me Tour? are in and he and his campaign production company are receiving nothing but rave reviews. Before leaving Israel for the European leg of the trip, he made a predawn visit to the Wailing Wall placing a note to the big Guy in the crevices for good luck. By all accounts he left the Israelis with a favorable impression as well the Palestinian leadership. Israel was clearly the toughest audience Barack Obama was going to face on this whirlwind adventure, but he held to his P?s and Q?s while crossing every T and dotting every I to give the Israelis all the assurances they would need to feel his commitment to their security. Going one step further than John McCain did on his visit to the troubled region, Obama was gracious enough to make a stop in Ramallah to chat with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas.

RetroVision Media Covers Why We Already Lost In Iraq
    Tue, 22 Jul 2008 10:08:45 GMT
Since the Obama campaign people are seemingly having difficulty answering the question of whether or not the so called surge has worked, we thought we?d off the following as a possible response. Perhaps the surge was simply cover for what was in the process of happening anyway in Iraq. Perhaps the Iraqis were getting tired of the bombings, the attacks in their own neighborhoods, the surety of continued occupation of American troops as long as the violence persisted. Sure, one could point to the statistics of attacks falling off dramatically with the infusion of more American forces, but that is no proof that cooler heads would have not prevailed had we decided to pull the plug and redeployed elsewhere.

For residents of the Samoan village of Pago Pago, life is simple until a boat arrives carrying two couples, the Davidsons (who are missionaries), the MacPhails and a prostitute named Sadie Thompson (played brilliantly by Crawford). Davidson (in a remarkable, yet little recognized performance by Walter Huston) is more than just a religious zealot; he's a mad man. When the boat, which was en route to another port, is temporarily stranded on the island due to a possible Cholera outbreak on-board, Sadie spends her time "partying" with the American soldiers stationed on the island. RetroVision Media Covers Obama's Trip Preparations To Israel And Other Mid East Hot Spots
    Wed, 16 Jul 2008 09:59:17 GMT
In preparation for his Mid East trip that will include a major stop in Israel, Barack Obama has fortified his team with Dennis Ross, former Clinton and George H. W. Bush foreign policy advisor. With a specialization in peace negotiations with the Israeli and Palestinians, he was credited with coming the closest to reaching an agreement between the warring factions than anyone else has before. While his efforts fell short, it is a clear sign that Obama has his eye on renewing serious talks to settle the region down a bit. Since Ross has been criticized by many on the Arab street as being too heavily in favor of the Israelis, this selection should go over well with those in the Jewish communities that have expressed reservations about Obama?s commitment to Israel?s security. With Barack Obama clearly winning the week on the battle of what to do in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan by outlining the challenges and putting forth a plan to meet them, John McCain was reduced to makin

RetroVision Media Ask Why The Hell Does Barack Obama Want To Be President
    Tue, 15 Jul 2008 10:18:45 GMT
We here at RetroVision Media we ask ourselves daily why anyone would want to run for the presidency of these United States. Charged with covering the antics of low life political hacks and operatives, the truly ignorant and the purposefully underhanded alike we have witnessed some of the most loathsome behavior one could imagine. Barack Obama must have been crazy to take on the odious job of campaigning for the world?s top gig when he had to know from the onset how difficult that would be for a person of color. Perhaps he thought he would have gotten more support from those that have traditionally been on the side of people first politics. We as well as his campaign always knew he?d take a beating from the loonies on the far right, the white sheet clad crews, the blatant racist types etc. But Obama?s trouble is coming less from the obvious creepy cruds than from those that should be considered friendly.

We even had an impressive number wanting some chat over Sen. Obama?s FISA vote. The latest of which will examine thoroughly. We even thought about going with the finger that Karl Rove gave John Conyers and his House Judiciary Committee this week. RetroVision Media Covers Democrats Bending Over For Bush Behind Closed Doors

Lost in the mainstream media mush this week was Seymour Hersh?s explosive reporting that the Democrats bent over for the president on 400 million plus for covert funding the President requested for use in destabilizing Iran. At the very time the National Intelligence Agency was telling the President, Congress and the world that they found no concrete evidence that the Iranians were pursuing nukes, the president and his cronies were going ahead with plans to hookup with Iranian dissidents. Hoping to keep sh*t shaky and on the edge for Ahmadinejad and friends, the president requested and got approval from the top echelons of congress via a Presidential Finding. Under federal law, a Presidential Finding is highly classified and must be issued when a covert intelligence operation is being initiated. All the big wigs must be advised of what is going on and approve. According to Hersh, the finding was focussed on undermining Iran?s nuke program, regime change and sucking up to oppositi

RetroVision Media Covers Gen. Wesley Clark; A Pragmatic Non Hero Worshiper
    Tue, 01 Jul 2008 08:48:47 GMT
Today?s Issue: General Wesley Clark is taking fire for remarks he made questioning John McCain?s qualifications to be president based upon his war hero status. This sh*t hit the fan Sunday when General Clark, former Democratic candidate made an appearance on Face the Nation with Bob Schieffer. Simply put, General Clark went where no one in this country was supposed to go. He dared to question whether John McCain?s military experience in and of it?s self, was sufficient to qualify him to be president. In our opinion, in no way did General Clark disparage John McCain?s military record, his sacrifices and reputation or impugn his character. He just asked how could one equate McCain?s war experiences with what it takes to run a nation. With little else placed before the American people that they could use to evaluate John McCain?s ability to lead this country in a time of wars, economic collapse, and non-stop natural disasters, all the hype over John McCain has been about his service an

RetroVision Media Covers The Nation's Economic Collapse and the Hidden Dangers That It Will Bring
    Mon, 30 Jun 2008 08:53:02 GMT
On June 23rd 08, it was reported by the Chicago Sun-Times that more than 2500 people lined up at a county office for food vouchers in Milwaukee at around 5 a.m. When it was rumored that some were being helped and others being turned away, fights broke out requiring local law enforcement being called to restore order. According to the story, about 7 a.m. pushing and shoving began as people actually took the doors off the county doorway hinges. The reported reason most of the people were there was because they were trying to get food assistance for the losses they suffered as a result of the floods. But many were there because they simply had no food, flood or no flood. According to one worker at the facility, ?The food crisis in Milwaukee and throughout the United States is worse than many of us realized?. That worker went on to say, ?We expect long lines for free food in Third World countries; we don?t a line of 2500 people waiting for food vouchers at the Marcia P. Coggs Center.

In this one, the retro axis of evil was Germany, Italy and Japan and was made the idiots of the day. They are all our friends now, only to be replaced with new ones. This is a very funny film. RetroVision Media Covers Israel Vs Iran Planned Summer Nukebuster Blockbuster
    Fri, 20 Jun 2008 09:03:42 GMT
President Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Olmert are planning to go out with a bang, as Israel readies for a preemptive strike against Iranian nuclear facilities. War games and practice runs have taken place recently within ear and eyeshot of all those that need to know that the Israelis mean business. We have been following this eventuality for months and have come to the conclusion that we all maybe in for another long hot and destructive summer. Much like the summer of 2006 when Olmert gave the order to jack up Lebanon in order to teach Hezbollah a lesson or two, we seem to be headed for another summer of fun and chaos. While president Bush sat on sidelines with his thumb up his ass hoping it would all be over soon, the Israelis bombed the living sh*t out of the floundering Democracy chasing down the elusive Hezbollah much to no avail. This summer promises to be no less spectacular if all the saber rattling is any sign of what is to come. Pentagon officials acknowledge they we

Issue Under Fire: To Drill or Not To Drill, What A Stupid Question
    Thu, 19 Jun 2008 09:23:27 GMT
After the recent dustup over the question of to drill or not to drill offshore and in other protected areas of the country, we see Barack Obama again showing the wisdom of a leader by not pandering to the masses with gimmicks and Band-Aid solutions. John McCain on the other hand is ready to sink wells off the coast of anywhere USA and beyond for an unlikely price break years from now. John McCain?s thinking on this issue is fatally flawed. The idea of drilling for, finding and delivering more oil will not encourage the nation to reduce consumption or make serious efforts to develop alternatives. McCain?s proposal sounds like a man saying something because something needs to be said, but what he is saying is short-term thinking with few measurable results for the future. President Bush says America is addicted to foreign oil and we, as a nation must break that addiction. We agree and then some but, we are willing to go further. RetroVision Media Covers How To Deal With A Stubborn Iran
    Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:29:21 GMT
The Iranians as well as the rest of the Arab/Muslim world and Europe will be looking to see if America can be trusted again for Obama will represent a new direction and a new method of operation. His willingness to sit with our adversaries and listen to their concerns and fears while putting forth a strong secure and positive image should deflate the windbag rhetoric coming from Ahmadinejad. Since the Iranians have decided to call Bush?s bluff over the sanctions being mounted against them, it is clear to us here at Issue Under Fire that it is a matter of national pride that is driving their insistence on pursuing nuclear energy production (weapons grade or otherwise). If we approached them from that standpoint, there might be a way to talk them down and accept some form of monitoring. To date, it has been, don?t do as we do, do as we say do. We have told them to comply or else. That approach will always be met with resistance even if only to show the world that they ain?t no punk

RetroVision Media Covers The Red Hot Mid East President Obama Will Face
    Mon, 16 Jun 2008 09:50:02 GMT
At the risk of appearing presumptuous we are going to focus on Barack Obama?s most pressing problem that he will face on day one of his presidency. Upon review of the state of the nation and the readiness for change the average American voter has exhibited, we are predicting now, that Sen. Obama will indeed be our next president. We are aware that the economy, fuel and food, jobs for American workers as well as affordable healthcare and the foreclosure circus are the domestic frontrunners for his attention, but without question, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict/Mid East tensions is going to dominate and challenge his energies by far. Firstly, the president wrapped up his farewell tour of the world with hints of kicking Iran?s ass should they not ease up on the nuke development stuff. Next, he managed to get Great Britain?s Prime Minister Gordon Brown to back his play on tougher sanctions against Tehran. The Iranians, backers of Hezbollah can?t be all that thrilled to hear this ne
