Yes, Mark and Paul, that dynamic duo from Dartford, came along to the Fishbowl for the second time in January 2007, and played a cracking set of their lusciously layered little epics. Astonishing stuff indeed.

Yes, it's time for another monthly edition of Fishbowl Acoustic, the podcast that brings you some of the best unsigned, independent music from the UK's South East.
This month, we have Alfie Noakes with us in Studio 2 (i.e. Mike's front room - Studio 1 is the garage!). Alfie sings three of his own songs and chats about what he's been up to, over a couple of beers.

Hello!
For this week's Fishbowl Live Special, we have a performance from our old favourites, The Diarys , who played at the Fishbowl for the second time back in October 2006. They'll be back for a third time on Sunday 25th March, so come along, you know you want to!
We also have a brief chat with Rich of The Diarys, who is starting his own evening of original acoustic music at Hayward's Restaurant in Edenbridge, Kent. Nothing like a bit of healthy competition to keep us Fishbowlers on our toes!

Here's another Fishbowl Live Special for ya! This week, we've got Zoe Konez, a singer/songwriter from Hastings, who actually runs her own acoustic nights along similar lines to the Fishbowl!
Zoe came along to The White Hart at the end of January and played a great set, full of altered tunings, complex rhythms, edgy lyrics and passion-filled vocals, with Paul B from And His Voice Became joining her on drums for one song.
Zoe was kind enough to give us an interview when she came off stage, so listen out for her take on playing the Fishbowl!

Hello there!
Can't believe it's February already! Time for another Fishbowl monthly edition, we reckon.
This month, we've got a real treat - Slashed Seat Affair live and in session! Last Sunday, on a beautiful sunny winter's day, we had the pleasure of being joined by Ellie, Darren and Tom, who came along to Carrot Cottage to chat about what they've been up to and sing a few songs for us. Excellent stuff!
This months's edition also features tracks from Jo Hook and The Singing Loins. All three acts will be playing at the next Fishbowl Live at the White Hart in Wadhurst, East Sussex, on Sunday 25th February 2007. Come along, it's free!

G'day folks.
Yes, it's time for another Fishbowl Live Special, and this one really is special - it's THE SHAKES!
Currently Number One in the PMC charts with their new single "I Want a Better Life", these podsafe pixies came along to the Fishbowl recently and delivered a superb, stripped back, acoustic performance of some of their best songs, including "Liberty Jones", "Janine" and the aforementioned hit single in the making.
This is The Shakes as you've never heard them before! And what nice lads!
We had a brief chat with Ed, John & Gaz afterwards, so take a listen and you'll hear what they've been up to.
These guys are going to be huge....

If you like instrumental guitar playing in the style of Michael Hedges, Eric Roche and Pierre Bensusan, then you will love this guy. With tapping, hammering and altered tunings galore, he had the audience transfixed from start to finish when he played at The Fishbowl last November.

Here we are with another Fishbowl Live Special, and this one?s a cracker!
A couple of months back, Soulchild stepped in at the last minute to deliver a superb performance, combining stunning guitar work from Andy Vickery, incredibly powerful and emotive vocals from Jemma Poulton and all sorts of cross-rhythms on the djembe from Robin O?Keefe. They have a hugely distictive sound and are certainly destined for greater things. Wonderful stuff!

It's Christmas!
Here we are with the December edition of the Fishbowl Acoustic Podcast, with lots of goodies for you!

Here we are with the second of our live recordings from PodcastCon UK back in November.
On this Fishbowl Live Special, Jimmy Golding (accompanied by Lucy on violin and Marcos on percussion) delivers a storming set that gets the crowd up on their feet and rocking along.

Something a little bit different for you this week.
Last month, we spent the day at PodcastCon UK (an annual gathering of podcasters), where the excellent Slashed Seat Affair performed a short live set. Of course, we recorded it for Fishbowl posterity.
So here they are - Ellie Myles (vocals), Darren Michael (bass) and Tom Lloyd-Jones (guitar), with a blistering acoustic set.

Well, here we are again with another Fishbowl Live Special. For this show, we have a recording of And His Voice Became, who played at the Fishbowl on Sunday 28th May, at the Chequers in Lamberhurst. Mark (guitar/vocals) and Paul (drums) played a pretty amazing set, and produced a serious wall of sound between them! These guys are starting to build quite a substantial following by the looks of things, so it was great that they were able to come and play, and even better that we were able to record their performance for the podcast.
