Hello,

I thought to try broadcasting throughout the day on my Dream Share TV channel on justin.tv on Christmas Eve 24 and Christmas Day 25, maybe New Years as well going into New Years.

I broadcast from the Netherlands, which means six hours back to New York and nine hours back from here to San Francisco.

What will I talk about?

Some deep things such as the myths around Christmas and Jungian interpretations of such, doing mediations with the transition to a new year.

And giving true stories from my life like at former Christmas and New Year times.

Plus, just to be a presence with any of you who join to watch and hear, or to make your presence known in the chat box.

So if you want to include a connection with us as part of your Christmas and New Years transition time, feel free to do so.

Stefania and I will excerpt the 'good parts' for later browsing for any of you who don't make it.

I have connected significantly with certain people over the years and so I just thought it's a nice way to tune in and be connected. And meaningful and warm, something that does not always happen at these outer holiday times. Yes, we will include some things on The Dark Side Of Christmas, and something from my writings. Maybe some of you have something to share?

Those we have connected to have all contributed to how we have and are living our lives. So there is good energy there.

The live feed broadcasting is open to anyone from the public and we have functions on Justin.tv for controlling spammers and other objects out there in the unconscious universe.

So the best to all of you these holidays. I shall certainly be sharing a number of things from my life I consider important in a kind of informal style.

I have peeked in on some of my fellow broadcasters on justin.tv. They are almost all young people in their twenties unlike me at age 73. But that does not phase me because they talk and have fun and share themselves and interact with chatters. Some are not boring, depending what they have in the way of personality. I shall simply be broadcasting as another human being.

So I shall do the same. Just share and interact.

Please join me for a little while anyway. Sometimes throughout the day and evening here I will be online broadcasting. Other times maybe off resting, eating and being with Stefania. So you just have to tune in when you have some time and see what's happening.

Luciano Pavarotti Dead

The New York Times reported today that Luciano Pavarotti had died of cancer and age 71. He was two years younger about than I am at age 73.

His voice was extraordinary as a soul-filled volume of human and transcendent emotions singing the great tenor arias.

What we can most recognize Pavarotti for was that he sang to uplift the human soul of humanity. He knew he had this effect on people and so he devoted his life to singing.

Still giving concerts in his sixties he was criticized for scheduling concerts and then canceling out of them if he did not feel he could sing well that night. A New York newspaper titled the event once as Fat Man Cancels Concert.

Some people expected that Pavarotti always be at his best for singing. However, aria singing at your best is like a physical sport. How many great atheletes compete whether injured or sick or not?

Pavarotti was right to cancel concerts because he extended his career into his sixties to inspire large audiences, yet he was fully human.

Even his overweight had its purpose certainly of grounding that enormous voice and transcendent inspiration Pararotti gave out to millions.

For it must be said that by inspiring others we inspire ourselves, but also that in inspiring others as well as ourselves we then have the opportunity to live richer lives of feeling and emotion and to tie into the great moments of our time and our personal lives.

Will our own love a suffering not be enhanced in life because Pavarotti sings?

What I have added here in this vodcast is some of my own singing improvisation to Bobby McFerrin singing Bach so that I can express my own deep feelings in the music of my voice and ears.

I have inspired many in my workshops to risk expressing themselves in many ways over the years. I cannot do less than do the same.

Thank you Luciano Pavarotti for being an inspiritation, making my life the richer also.

First Year Report On Podcasting - 63,000 listeners!

We are happy to report that we have had almost 63,000 listeners and viewers to are over 100 podcasts in our first year. This is significant to show a large number of people interested in serious presentations and not just entertainment.

We will be able to see from this view of the statistics page of our top draws what people are most interested in as subjects and from Strephon's perspective on things.

It shows for instance that people are interested in the title: Loving Laurie. It's the first chapter that can be easily turned into an audio book and later a written book. Such a book is in the works after we have set up a new style of web pages that are geared to selling e-info product and not just giving away free reports, information and podcasts.

The statistics have proven that although Strephon at 73 is in retirement and so not an active force in any society, he is not without people who value both his delivery and his information about living life.

The first phase of this marketing test has been passed. People want what Strephon has to offer, not because he in an international expert or a big name, which he isn't, but because he is valued in what he offers now through the Internet.

Strephon has not published a major new book by a big press since 1991. He has written a number of books since then, but the marketing of serious information, rather than pop psychology, has become difficult for him and many other writers.

Strephon was advised in the eighties by a self-made millionaire consultant to go into pop psychology in a big way. This he refused so as not to waste his life in making money by watering down his intelligence and insights into the average intelligence and curiosity of the median culture.

Now with the birth of the Internet and these biggest publisher of information in the world Strephon Kaplan-Williams is committed this past year to take full advantage of reaching the right audience for serious and in depth inspiration and wisdom knowledge in spiritual perspective and depth psychology.

Truly, these are again exciting times for the world with a new evolutionary step possible in making humanity conscious of its true self and values.

Sidney Sheldon sold millions of copies of once-reading, popular novels, his avowed goal to excite the reader. More power to him. He died where the extremely rich die: in California: Palm Springs, retirement home city to actresses, directors, assorted rich novelists, and movie stars.

We have only fifty thousand listeners to any of over sixty podcasts. Our numbers are rising at more than 1000 listeners a week.

Could that be because we have something to say, because we speak to the soul of the world and its people?

We define the soul, not as certain religions do, but as your core being that you make conscious and live from in a life of value to yourself and others.

When you read a Sidney Sheldon book, or a John Saul book, or a Dan Brown book, you don�t get any wiser about yourself or your life.

The contrary usually happens. Like the philosopher Gurgief said, most books are written to keep you asleep so that you never wake up to the realities of life.

We here at StrephonSays.com put our efforts into waking up to life as it is and dealing with everything that comes our way in the context of purpose and life meaning.

If you are on a similar life journey, if you want to wake up to life as it is and not be fooled anymore, you will appreciate this.

We are as poor as a synagogue mouse, but we have not chosen money to write to because then we would not live a life of creative purpose and meaning.

50,000 listeners is a lot of conscious people living their lives in the world and having an influence.

Millions of unconscious people bowing out to money and the sins of unconsciousness are worth nothing to the humanity of the future.

Their numbers are large, yet they count for nothing.

Our fifty thousand people, and climbing, is our way of saying, �Hello, world! Wake up please! Save yourself if you can. If a better world is not to be, at least live a better life. Each one of us counts if we are conscious, if we are practicing a life of purpose on a daily level. Hello, world!!!�

The choice is up to you!

Concepts covered: ego, ego identity, ego functions, ego choice-making, choice-making, awareness, consciousness, projecting, creative, right practice.

Suggestion: practice these concepts by making a list of choices at the end of your day, by discussing with a friend, giving personal examples, and by writing in your journal to the following:
1. -What does your ego identity consist of, such as images, expectations, family affiliations, attitudes, memories of who you were, whether you are that way today or not.
2. -Associate your ego self-identity to the strong choices you have made in your life so far. How have they defined you?
3. -Disidentify from these ego identities by knowing them but realizing you don't have to live them in today's terms just because they were you in the past.
4. -Soon after you arise from bed list the choices you are going to make today.
5. -At the end of your day before bed, list the choices you have made today.
6. -Keep a Choice-making Journal in which you do identity exercises, such as putting things in there about yourself and your choices at least once a week.

Responsibility is responding to life appropriately. Instead of withdrawing or simply reacting, going hysterical, resistive and negative, open yourself, Strephon says, to what is happening and deal with it.

Solve the problem. Develop the new potential.

First, do the New Year�s Death-Rebirth sacrifice. Review last year and acknowledge what didn�t work, where you failed and lost out. Also list what you did accomplish of value.

Then in transiting into the new year, sacrifice what no longer serves the value in the new year and new life you are living. This includes friends as well as habits and hobbies.

Then take on new values and projects you want to take on and accomplish.
Take responsibility. Respond.

Also, do not neglect wholeness values. Look at each of the areas of your life and focus your energy in a responsible way. What new thing can you bring to Personal Relating, to Work Projects and Relationships, to Personal Growth?

This is being responsible to the new life emerging before each one of us.

Over 43,000 Listeners Achieved - Report January 1, 2007

The predicted growth-rate was for 30,000 listeners by the end of the year. We started at zero on April 16, 2006. Stefania and Strephon celebrated this achievement in their New Years Eve toast and talk as the Dutch fireworks banged away outside.

Success And New Website Coming

Now we have the experience of success like this we are quickly switching for 2007 to implementing a new website organized around two areas of subject matter: Writer's Interface Writing Tools, and Expert Psychology. The sub-branches will be many subjects in both fields.

What does our success so far mean for 2006?

The goal was achieved of seeing whether there was good interest in the style of presentation and the ideas that Strephon has taught his students for years, and written into several books now not exactly in print that much.

At its best the Kyria arouses in one that special feeling deep in ones breast of the Greater Transcendence of God. How can words express such a feeling? You must do it, be it, for the full experience.

What's the plan?

To plan is to organize ones thoughts, possibilities and resources in time towards the goal of getting something valuable into reality.

One great task and secret of life is to plan all your significant events, not rigidly but towards project goals of significance.
1. - see where the chaos is and there impose structure
2. - see where the new potential is and their create a developmental structure. You might develop a convergent structure also.
3. - get commitments to your plan, yourself and others involved.
4. - a commitment is a choice to sustain certain actions in time, such as on a daily basis.
5. - evaluate the results of your ongoing work to shift the plan to greater effectiveness as the reality of your efforts develop.
6. - don't expect things to turn out exactly as planned.
7. - keep planning and re-planning as the process develops.
8. - follow guidance in planning and carrying out the plan.
9. - your plan helps you set priorities in your work life.
10. - count the cost in your planning and accomplishments as well. Where the results worth the effort? How can we do better as we continue forward?
11. - planning helps one emerge out of chaos into accomplishment.
12. - by planning and keeping to the plan, one becomes active rather than reactive in life.

I use the new iMac 5 with a MacMice USB mike.

Garage Band gives you the standard waveform tracks with tiny volume controls on each track for recording. They are hard to adjust precisely. This makes it difficult to make the right volume adjustment for recording my voice.

At the end of September 29 this year we had 14,079 visitors. So in one month we increased by over 6000 listener-viewers. Our new level of 2000 a week new visitors did not last, or we would have over 8000 new visitors at the end of this month.

Fluctuations can be due to subject matter as well. Strephon podcasts and vodcasts what he finds of value to humanity, whether others want these subjects or not.

The increase of 6000 for the month continuing to December and then January 1, 2007 means that we should have 32,000 visitors by the end of the year.

7000 New Listeners In One Month!

Yes, on September 16 we reported we reached 10,000 listeners, a significant breakthrough then. Now with 7000 new listeners in one month the prediction is that we will have around 28,000 to 30,000 by the end of the year, and a year on from that we could have 7000 times 12 plus 30,000, or over 100,000 listeners.

Some listeners are repeat people, of course, but even when repeat listeners it shows that these people are learning something important for themselves each time.

11,053 Total Listeners Today: September 19, 2006, total with 212 listeners for the daily average. September 14 we had broken through to over 10,000 with a rate increase of 1000 in five days. Seems this rate increase is again five days.

Thus at this rate increase we should have at least 14 times 1000 or a total by the end of the year of 25,000 listeners.

Look for advanced podcasts for students who want to commit to a learning process in our School For Consciousness starting in 2007 by paying a small monthly fee and working on their learning project. We will content the regular free podcasts at at least one a week for everybody, and then have advanced learning also.

Friday we broke through the 10,000 listeners level in 5 days since the 9,000 level, which took eight days to get to there from the 8,000 level, August 31 to September 8 for over 9,000. Thus we are doing better than 1,000 new listeners a week with some acceleration happening. We post figures to have a record of how it works in the hurly-burly days of podcastings' beginnings.

May the world change for the better with more people living from values and not materialism and power-lust first.

PODCAST REPORT - THE SIGNIFICANCE OF NUMBERS - 200 LISTENERS A DAY

Today, September 12, 2006, we broke 200 listeners a day! At this rate and going up, this would be 100 days by 200 listeners plus 9779 listeners so far or 20,000 listeners by the end of the year.

To compare, this is less than two months for the listener daily average to double. This means that listeners double every two months so that around November 15 we could have 400 listeners a day and by the beginning of 2007 800 listeners a day. It hardly seems possible because that says that in the new year there could be 30 time 800 or 24,000 listeners in a month. Is this also possible?

Does anyone read these reports to check our math?

Strephon has ancestors and a father who was Jewish and a mother who was not. He knows Christianity through growing up in an Episcopal boarding school then going to a military school with the insistence on church every Sunday, then the last two years, the best, in a Quaker high school. Strephon has taught a number of people at collage and adult levels on the historical Jesus texts as spiritual texts, along with teachings in Hasidic stories and Zen stories.

Prologue - A Crucifixion
9000 Listeners on September 8, 2006

In one week we went from 8000 listeners on August 31 to over 9000 listeners on September 8, with a new daily average of 195 a day. This means that now we are increasing listeners at 1000 a week to bring us to at least 25,000 listeners going into January, 2007 16 weeks from now. If we only increase at 1000 listeners a week we will have at least 75,000 listeners by the beginning of 2007 which is a nice goal to have to get interest in a new book of mine which might come out by then.

What I cannot seem to figure out is the rate of acceleration. We started at zero 21 weeks ago. What is the rate of acceleration so that we can predict how high it is going to get?

This chart shows some of our statistics for interpretation. Since we keep rising in numbers at an accelerated rate we cannot evaluate these numbers accurately. Maybe they are still interesting, and we shall draw some conclusions.

This chart does not show all our 32 podcasts for the first four months but it does show the more recent podcasts for up to two months. Day 2 and Day 3 mean the two most recent days, not counting today. Totals are total listener audience for the last four months, which shows a total now just over 6000 audience.

The first four months: what do we have with our podcasts?

-Our daily average audience is up to 142

-Our grand total of listeners is 5538

Now for a breakdown analysis. We do this to see what subjects are the most popular. This could measure Strephon's growing ability to give talks also, but is more likely to be subject oriented. Listeners are more interested in the subject than in Strephon's delivery style, though of course delivery style is important.

Report libsyn broke 100 a day

Today is the day we broke into the average of 100 a day. This in less that three and a half months. Our total so far since April 16, 2006 is 3695 total audience so far. This represents at least that many listeners to the thought of Strephon Kaplan-Williams, more people who have heard him than in several years of giving talks to the public and teaching. Of course when Strephon has been on radio or television he has reached more people, but these people are there for the program and not by choice. To download a talk of Strephon's you have to make a choice to do so and then to listen.
