I’ve had so much on my plate recently. It’s been difficult to make time for anything personal. But, I’m managing bit by bit. Unfortunately, the blog is suffering from a bit of neglect for the time being. Things should quiet down soon, however. At that point, I’ll try to pick up the pace once again. [...] - Cherry Blossom Time!
Mon, 31 Mar 2008 05:59:19 +0000
If you’ve never been to the National Cherry Blossom Festival, I’d strongly recommend it. Absolutely beautiful. It’s definitely crowded, so Metro is the way to go. This is my first time, and I will be going back to capture more images next weekend. I’ve been ridiculously busy at work, and am debating the future of the [...] - This Force Is Strong: AKQA is OMMA Agency of the Year
Fri, 04 Jan 2008 07:15:05 +0000
The agency I work for, AKQA, has been named OMMA Magazine’s Agency of the Year for Best Web Design and Development. Several projects highlighted include Smirnoff.com, the USPS Star Wars promotion, Life Takes Visa and Trident UK. This is the fourth consecutive year that AKQA has been recognized by OMMA in its Agency of the Year [...] - Merry Christmas!

To all of my family and friends, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (Happy Hanukkah, too!) Between moving my office and home, and settling in to a new job, this holiday season has been really busy and hectic which has limited (once again) how often I post. One of my New Year’s resolutions [...] - Leopard Lament #84: Stacks Get Snipped
Tue, 04 Dec 2007 11:30:29 +0000
For the sake of preserving my sanity I’ve not posted numbers 1 through 83 of my Leopard Laments, but this one pressed my “irk” button quite a few times this evening, so I figured I would share it. It looks like fan-style Stacks in Leopard get clipped when they spill over the boundary of your primary [...] - Budget Airline Soars to New Heights

Now You See It. Now You Don’t! Metis TransPacific’s “747-400″ is seen landing in Vancouver. Roll your mouse over the image to view the pre-Photoshop original 747-300 owned by Air Atlanta Icelandic. They even removed a taxiway and an airport vehicle to complete the look! [Javascript Required] Well, not really. More like crashing to new lows [...] - Random Observation: Mac Pro as Space Heater
Sat, 24 Nov 2007 02:57:38 +0000
Despite having a pair of more efficient four-core Intel Xeon 5300 “Clovertown” processors, the 8-Core Mac Pro certainly doubles as an excellent space heater in sub-30-degree weather. Throw in a pair of 30″ Cinema HD Displays, and you’ve got your own aluminum convection oven once the machine’s fans kick in every so often. Seriously, I don’t [...] - New Season, New Job
Fri, 23 Nov 2007 09:35:06 +0000
I’m still trying to break the “one post per month” spell the blog has been under for quite some time but I haven’t succeeded — yet. However, another big change is happening in my life that I felt warranted a quick update. As most will know I’ve been working in software for the past few years. [...] - Le Bus Stops Here
Fri, 16 Nov 2007 13:30:41 +0000
Not a good evening for the kind folks at Airbus. A brand new Airbus A340-600, serial number 856, due to be delivered to Etihad Airways in a few days’ time had an accident during an engine run-up test. Initial reports suggested that the aircraft may have jumped its wheel chocks before careening into the noise abatement [...]
